Heroes

We all know Batman and Spiderman.We have all read stories whose main character is a hero. They are usually brave and corageous and have supernatural powers to face difficulties. They are often involved in impossible quests that, in the end, are just a test for their skills, strength and good will. Humanity has always had heroes. Every culture has its own heroes who show slightly different features. There are heroes in literature, film and also anonymous heroes in everyday life.

In my opinion, a hero´s most outstanding feature is his/her contribution to society. We are social beings and no matter who you are or what you do you can always make an effort to offer other people the best in you. Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela are two excellent examples of social and political heroes. Even people with health problems can become heroes -take for instance Leo Messi or Vincent van Gogh- when they overcome their difficulties and provide outstanding contributions to the society they live in.
